Purely began with a simple, personal experience. Founder Nokwanda Candice Mzobe was tired of the discomfort and irritation caused by the sanitary pads she found on the market. During her search for a better option, she discovered a hidden truth: many pads contain chemicals and bleaches that can irritate the skin and may contribute to long-term health concerns, information that isn’t always shared openly
Determined to create a safer, gentler alternative, Nokwanda launched Purely, an organic, skin-friendly sanitary pad designed with women’s well-being at the centre.
Founded in 2021 and officially launched in 2025, Purely is more than just a product. It’s a movement built on education, empowerment, and community. Through our subscription model, Purely supports women by making menstrual care simple, reliable, and informed.
